Overview of Test Administration

Step-by-step guide to Helikit® administration :

  1. The patient exhales a normal breath sample into the reference labeled tube.

  2. The 13C substrate is then consumed.

  3. After 30 minutes, the patient exhales a second breath sample into the second sample tube.

  4. The two tubes are then analyzed by an isotope ratio mass spectrometer (IRMS).
